ABOUT US
The Morrison Seahorse Swim Club provides an opportunity for kids to learn to swim at a competitive level in practice to apply in a variety of swim meets around the area! The mission of our team is to make swimming a fun learning experience for young athletes by making new friends, developing a team spirit, and having an individual pride in their own personal swimming career!
Competitive swimming offers more than just facing off against other swimmers in a meet. It offers a life-long aerobic conditioning that teaches the fundamentals of swimming technique. When joining a competitive swim team, it can lead a swimmer to improving self-confidence through participation, responsibility, and individual discipline. Not only does it improve their physical and mental abilities, but also social! Meeting new people and making friends assists in the improvement of swimming as well as their personal morale and social poise.
"If you have a lane,
you have a chance."

HISTORY
MSSC 1985 Team
making waves since 1972
MSSC’s long history began in 1972, formed by a group of individuals who foresaw a future for swimming in Morrison. They convinced the high school physical-education teacher, who was also the manager of the new pool, that a swim team was feasible. From there, the Morrison Seahorse Swim Club has grown into what it is today: an encouraging community of dedicated swimmers, coaches, and alumni that support each other and the team overall.
